Hi there friend. Take your time, look around, and learn some of what there is to know about me. I hope you enjoy my art and please take a moment to drop me a line. Many drawings are available for purchase, and I am also available for commissions.

I have been creating art, drawings mostly, ever since I can remember. I cannot say that I am entirely self taught. My foremost art teacher is my mother, a multi talented artist with a background in graphic design. With her unwavering encouragement I drew and created fiendishly as a child. I was also consistently being exposed to other types of art, theater and music. We traveled together here and abroad to see performances and exhibitions. My mother expertly guided the development of my art practice and to this day is the person I go to for final approval on a drawing.
Other than my moms steady tutelage over the years I am pretty much self taught as far as technique goes. I did graduate from California Institute of the Arts with a BFA in scene design for the theater, after spending several summers working for a local Shakespeare company in high school. Other than my moms steady tutelage over the years I am pretty much self taught as far as technique goes. I did graduate from California Institute of the Arts with a BFA in scene design for the theater, after spending several summers working for a local Shakespeare company in high school. My imagined dream was to be a set designer like David Hockney and I even got to meet him while working post graduation at the Los Angeles Opera. By the third year of college I had however realized that I wasn’t interested in a) three dimensional design and b) collaborating for a living. In my fourth year I focused on making paintings and drawings and even took a couple of classes with the art school. Other than those few classes I’ve studied drawing a bit in a portraits class with Santa Fe based artist Roberta Remy.
My art is most inspired by my own internal landscape with its colorful history of traumas and triumphs. There is a lot I feel I have to say about them. My drawings hope to convey some of this to the viewer. I find portraits to be the most authentic form of communication I can offer up to others.
